A Season of Hope: Building What We Once Dreamed

Dear Friends,

When I think back to the very first days of the Selah Grey Foundation, I remember starting with nothing more than a dream. A dream that every child, no matter their abilities or story, would know they belong. A dream that young adults aging out of foster care would not be left to figure out life alone. A dream that families in our community would have a place to find encouragement, support, and hope.

Today, I get to share that what was once just a dream is beginning to take shape in ways that bring tears to my eyes.

Selah Center of Hope Counseling Center

For years, I have sat across from children and families who were carrying more than anyone should have to carry. I’ve seen the weight of trauma, the fear of being alone, and the silent struggles no one else noticed. The Selah Center of Hope Counseling Center was born out of those moments. It is a place where children, young adults, and families can breathe, heal, and know they are not walking this road by themselves.

Selah Grey Academy

When I look at my own daughter, Selah, I see the miracle of possibility. Doctors once told us what she would never do—but God had a different story. Today, she runs, laughs, and lights up every room. The Selah Grey Academy is being built with that same belief: that every child, regardless of ability, deserves a chance to learn, thrive, and show the world their brilliance. We are just beginning, but the vision is clear: classrooms filled with belonging, where differences are celebrated, not hidden.

The Foundry

One of the hardest truths I’ve come to face is how many young adults step into the world at 18 or 21 without the support they desperately need. For those aging out of foster care or navigating disabilities, life can feel like a mountain with no map. That is why we are launching The Foundry—a place where potential is shaped, skills are built, and futures are forged. Every young adult deserves to step into adulthood with dignity, confidence, and someone cheering them on.

Why This Matters

Each of these programs—the Counseling Center, the Academy, and The Foundry—are not just ideas on paper. They are answers to prayers. They are the tangible expression of our “why.” At the Selah Grey Foundation, we believe that hope is not a luxury. It is a necessity.

As we launch these new programs, my heart is both humbled and full. Humbled because we know we cannot do this without you. Full because I see the seeds of change already taking root.

I invite you to explore our new website, see what’s coming, and dream with us. Whether you pray, give, volunteer, or simply share our story, you are part of this journey too.

Thank you for believing that together, we can build spaces of hope and belonging.

With all my heart,
